The frequent use of the word “OI” goes back to the good old days of 80s punk rock originating from bands such as The Clash and Rancid just to name a few which is cool because we don’t often hear that style of music anymore.
The main theme of the song talks about creating a path for the ultimate goal in anyone’s life. The track is covered with tropes from start to finish giving us the freedom to interpret the lyrics in any way shape or form. Very punk rock indeed.
The double-time drum pattern accompanied by that crunchy guitar tone and that over-the-top feel of the song is the main reason why it’s so punk rock. In simple terms, it’s chaotic and fun.
