Zarooni Hits the Road with “Traffic”

Simple, yet well-crafted. This melodic single seizes your attention instantly, and at the same time puts you at ease with over a one-minute instrumental at the near end. “Traffic” is used as a double meaning, which honestly makes perfect sense.

You’re instantly hit with catchy fills similar to lofi, but captures the indie-pop essence. Zarooni’s smooth vocals fit just right in. As a matter of fact, the production is great in itself; the way the percussion was moving left to right at the beginning, how the whole instrumental was pieced together to create an ambience that blends right into any background.

The concept of traffic isn’t taken literally at all, or at least, not all throughout the song. It talks about struggling to get to a destination, as traffic is referred to as delay or the cause of slow progression. “There’s one way traffic / I don’t know where you are / Can’t seem to find my way into yours”.

It’s an interesting and intricate track. It’s got this feel-good vibe to it that makes it suitable for replays, and it’s honestly a good song that showcases how familiar Zarooni is with creating and crafting his art.
