We Are All Bots by Andrea Pizzo and the Purple Mice is a glimpse of a hyper-tech future

Have you ever wondered what the future holds when the line between what’s human and artificial becomes obscure and there’s no way to know where we’re headed? Will it be like one of those dystopian sci-fi films where technology moves at a relentlessly fast pace until machines and robots take over? Or will everything be just like the world we’re living in at the moment, nothing too flashy like those futuristic cities they claimed but still ruled and dominated by technology in every bit of our lives?

Andrea Pizzo and the Purple Mice is back with We Are All Bots, a thought-provoking EP that gives you a glimpse of a hyper-technological future through three distinct musical visions: one grounded, one cosmic, and one eternal

With influences from Queen, Muse, and Pink Floyd, the group is known for their color that ranges from progressive rock to symphonic and electronic textures, thriving through seamless blends of science, philosophy, and fantasy into coherent sounds.

The EP will welcome you with We Are All Bots, a punchy electro-rock track that feels like a slap in the face right from the start. The layered synths and beats are haunting and thumping with force, and you can’t help but to sit with its depth and intensity. The vocals work so well with the production, and you can clearly sense how unsettling and eerie it is to realize that you’re trapped in a system without any way out. How we’re slowly becoming like the bots we built for years piece by piece.

To The Space and Beyond is true to its title as it stretches far and transcends in the vast through symphonic-electronic elements. The lyrics adopted from Versus de Naturis Rerum By Ambrosius Mediolanensis adds depth and it amplifies the cinematic and atmospheric mood. It captures that futuristic and expansive sound. The way you can clearly vision yourself floating and wandering in galaxies and being one with it is something I appreciate. It’s a sonic reflection of humanity’s destiny among the stars.

While To The Space and Beyond sends you to vast galaxies, Andrea Pizzo and the Purple Mice ended the EP strong through Eternità. It is an emotional upheaval that sends you even higher through classic celestial vocals and symphonic rock grandeur. This operatic pop piece laid an excerpt from Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite, breaking into the myth of immortality.

We Are All Bots is not something you’d hear everyday. While most hyperfixate on tracks that revolve around feelings and emotions, this EP lets you see the world and people in a broader perspective, tackling human identity and condition with innovations and technology. This is a whole new level of listening experience for me.

If you’re also trying to envision a world in a hyper-technological future, you should listen to We Are All Bots by Andrea Pizzo and the Purple Mice along with their other projects.
