Lille, France – Straight out from the North of France comes to the electrifying band “Three Thirty Three” who is currently shaking up the whole music scene with their EP entitled, “3.33” – a clever play for the band’s name but in numbers. This is a six-tracked EP that’s set to make you dance and groove as it is packed with wild, party-provoking, and rock ‘n roll sound.
Virginie, Romain, Yanis, and Humanoïde – the mastermind behind the goodness of Three Thirty Three – have come up from their respective spaces fully packed with energy and ready to conquer the airwaves with their unique sound that is a blend of rock, retro classic, infection, and irresistible funk and pop, and the chill and cool reggae. This EP is not your usual everyday listen, expect this to be wild, so sit back, relax, and let’s get on with the show.
Starting strong with the track “Disco Chrome”, it is a very electrifying track. A five-minute-long musical experience of a party. It has a retro funk classic style with an addicting repetitive groove that will guarantee you total fun on the dance floor. It is packed with good guitar riffs and glorious bass which translates to cackling energy coursing through the music.
Speaking energy, the track “Chere indolente” does not shy away from that. It is a cool rock music. The bass will yet again invade your ears – it sounds simple, yet it is very effective when conveying the emotions on each line being sung by the vocalist. It is repetitive and is very addicting and the build-up on the bridge part! It’s just so great!!!! “Exil” comes through with its thrilling punk rock. It is rock, but a whole kind of different rock. The vocals are just masterful, and the singing is just emotional. The listeners will be able to feel the anguish cackling on the whole song. It only shows the mastery of the vocalists in expressing themselves through the song.
Now here comes my favorite track, “Le feu au cul” IT IS CHILL, COOL, AND AWESOME! It’s as simple as that. It is reggae and it offers a different type of musicality from the other tracks that were initially presented by the band. This track is like a breath of fresh air. It is new, it is good, and it is addicting. I can’t get over it.
Lastly, going back to our roots in rock n’ roll, “La bas” and ”Donnons nous”. These tracks are a worthy conclusion to this whole EP of greatness. Both tracks are rock and funk, but the tracks are different in style and are no less than perfect. Both exudes a certain nostalgia because of its sound. The vocals are great and the level of this musical production is just glorious, making all these absolute bangers!
Overall, 3.33 is a great production. This music is a high-quality production that promises a great listening experience and so much more enjoyment. There might be some language barrier because these tracks are all in French BUT, music is a universal language, I may have yet to fully understand the whole song but it sure does speak to my soul. Their music managed to connect with me through their amazing vocals and top-notch production. I’d like to add that it is very addictive and very cool to listen to.
