Tati brings out fresh and compelling listening experience with TATI PART 2

One of the hardest things to do after a breakup is pulling oneself out of the darkness, to continue with life all while carrying the emotional baggage it leaves behind. Tati flawlessly captures the aftermath of this scenario with his latest EP, TATI PART 2. Known for blending pop, hip-hop, and alternative sounds, the EP deserves recognition as it brings out fresh and compelling listening experience.

Making tracks for a generic theme that is usually saturated is definitely a risk, yet Tati curated an EP that sets itself apart in a way that will still resonate with listeners. It’s raw and honest, the type of songs you’d want to listen to after the first time you went out of your room, trying to distract yourself after a week of a breakup.

The lead single, Let’s Have a Party, is an upbeat track with addictive chorus and raps. Tati went hard on this one as it successfully set the tone and energy of the whole EP. The psychedelic synths made it captivating, while the featured artist Lluxx added depth and dynamics to the track itself.

Something’s Wrong With Me, on the other hand, felt so personal as you dive into the lyrics. It’s raw and very well thought out. Opposite to the lead single, the internal and personal conflict was well translated into a song with its melody and layered vocals.

The third track, Body, has a huge potential, my personal pick out of the four tracks. The lyrics are repetitive in a way that it matches the upbeat and electronic elements of the song.

Contrary to the first three tracks, Advil highlights Tati’s vocals the most. Its stripped-back arrangement and bluesy lyrics made it emotional to the point that it would invoke and trigger memories.

TATI PART 2 is a must-listen if you’re seeking tracks that are relatable while having a bit of everything from alt-pop, R&B, and hip-hop!
