Releasing their debut EP entitled “Tender Weapons“, this collection of tracks which were amongst the favorites of their dedicated supporters aims to move your hearts and spirit through their fearless dive into the chaos this world has.
In terms of music, this band has its unique style within the sphere of the rock scene in the industry. With its punk-infused signature sound with blues and cinematic undertones, this blend creates a highly varied combination of sounds highlighting the band’s ingenuity. Starting up with the track “Adventure Kid,” it is a song that fearlessly speaks about societal issues most especially its current trend of expectations that are clearly suffocating to live through. With all that, the track delivers a clear message to forget whatever things society has dictated you to do and just be free. This strong message is highlighted by the upbeat vibe of the track with intense instrumentation of guitar and bass which definitely guarantees a head bop.
As you go along with this EP, Luna Motif proves that they are rebels through their music. Their message is strong about freedom, peace, and equality which were evidently showcased through tracks entitled “War on the Street,” and “Firestorm“. These tracks are packed with heavy riffs and grooves that create this dark and anticlimactic vibe throughout your whole listen.
More importantly, “Primal Force,” and the lead track “Honey Dawn” draw the listener’s attention to the ability of Mother Nature to create heal and inspire through connecting with it as an individual. I liked the line Music is the gateway, the source of emotions because of the reality that it carries — music indeed evokes a wide range of emotions and through that, we all connect, communicate, and find our core.
Ultimately, the EP Tender Weapon is a potent release from Luna Motif. It sounds great, it is well written and the band successfully crafted an iconic identity that is uniquely theirs through this release. Music is a tool and a great influencer, and Luna Motif has used theirs to deliver a strong message to the world about how frustrating it is to see all this chaos and that finding peace and solace amidst it is important. It only proves how high quality their lyrical depths were and how versatile their musical prowess is. Listening to each of these tracks is an experience, it will make you think and reflect while enjoying great-sounding rock music.
