Malice in Wonderland is back with a new dark anthem for self-reclamation “I’ve Chosen Darkness (Over You)”

Malice in Wonderland returns with an astonishingly fresh release I’ve Chosen Darkness (Over You). The Norwegian goth rock band marks the 20th anniversary of their debut album’s release. What makes this track interesting is the fact that it was an unfinished track back in 2015 before they disbanded.

I’ve Chosen Darkness (Over You) is a goth metal and hard rock track with haunting progressions and melodies. It is dark, gloomy, and gritty which evokes strong emotions. The heavy guitar riffs and punchy drum beats enhance the intensity and atmosphere. It wraps you in a sense of isolation with your inner demons running wild, it vividly evokes an emotional withdrawal from a relationship after a long endurance.

Their creativity in writing is unmatched. While it may be interpreted as an emotional withdrawal or indifference, they also exquisitely expressed a sense of self-reclamation or an act of self-preservation. The track pulses with coldness from haunting vocals that match the classic goth rock vibes of the song. It’s an anthem for people who’ve already made peace with chaos, uncertainty, and pain.

For the goth metal and hard rock fans, I’ve Chosen Darkness (Over You) by Malice in Wonderland embodies both its elements so make sure to add this to your goth ‘n’ roll playlist!
