This has all the potential of taking part in a movie soundtrack during a wild-goose chase, either from the point of view of the pursuer or the quarry. Either way, this song is catchy, and it’s got a nice, energetic feel to it.
Imagine this being played at a small gig with everyone having a good time and bobbing their heads along to the almost savage-like, gritty chords. That’s the fun part about creating a good track that also reminds listeners of other similar influences, bringing them a sense of familiarity and nostalgia.
Great tones, great delivery. It’s short, but then again, what’s left to say? “The streets are filled with whisper, the edge is drawing near / No more a passive listener, you’ve got to face your fear” is such a good line, reiterating this song’s potential to be played on the big screens.
“Fresh Wind Blowing” is fun and chaotic. As Paul Cafcae states, ‘I cannot imagine a better time for this musical message to get out. I almost expect to get a knock on the door from the RCMP or CSIS any moment now.’ Don’t worry, Paul; this song captures those sentences perfectly.
