Forever in Transit Drops Intriguing Album “A Coming to Terms”

Like any other band in the industry, the New York-based prog metal band Forever in Transit had a fair share of struggles in life while creating their name in the industry. Dropped this 13th of September, the band has navigated through growth and difficulties in self-discovery, which is the reason why the album “A Coming to Terms” was born. It is an 7-track collection that features the signature sound of the band. It is a beautiful yet chaotic package filled with rage; it has deep messages and chaotic reality, but most of all, it is a great sound that you will absolutely enjoy.

The album opens with the track “Let Go Your Earthly Tether.” Just like all the songs on this release, it is packed with gritty vocals and hard-pounding instrumentality, which undeniably induces a satisfying groove and angst. Amazingly, Dan’s vocals feature a great contrast among others, transitioning from one great, clear melodic voice to harsh vox and screamo which is a total 180° in terms of shade and tones. It is both beauty and chaos packed in a collection called “A Coming to Terms.”

Following this is the track “What Lies Beneath.” One thing that is sure for this collection is their clever use of synths and spatial sounds to create a mysterious void for the listeners to enjoy. Just like on this track, its quiet and slow start will make you anticipate what comes next in the following moments of your listening. Dan’s clear vocals have added to the greatness of storytelling for this track, carrying that chaotic disparity between the band’s true selves versus the character that they want to carry. The track “I Cling to Threads” features the same vibe, too! It is gritty enough that you will feel each word piece directly to your soul.

Streams of Thought,” on the other hand, is a personal favorite. It is an almost 7-minute listen that features a showcase of the skills of instrumentation of the band. With Dan Schiolino’s great ears for producing quality sound and with the help of his amazing line-up of Jeremy Schroeder on guitar, Chris Lamendola on vocals, and Daniel Ross on bass guitar, this piece is beautifully wrapped in chains waiting to be unleashed for the world to hear.

The album also features the tracks “Enter the Void” and “Empty and Become Wind.” Both tracks carry a message about self-realization—the first one is about the feeling of being free after letting go of every notion that society has labeled you, and the latter also bears the same message, only that it highlights that in acceptance, it’s where the real power comes in. It all ends with the unique sound of the title track, “A Coming to Terms.” It all ends with acceptance, and this message is pounded hard with the clear vocals and amazing instrumentation of the band. Also, the upbeat tempo contrasts the majority of pieces in the release, showcasing the disparity and the vast possibilities that this band can offer.

A Coming to Terms is not an album that should be taken lightly—it is like a Pandora’s Box that carries chaos that is beautifully wrapped in good music. This album is like poison—it will slowly creep up your system, and by the end of it, you’ll be addicted to it. It is slow-burn—but you couldn’t deny the beauty of it. This album is a must-listen! And kudos to Dan and the whole band Forever in Transit for making this absolute goodness. The lyrics are packed, the instrumentation is top-notch, and most of all, this whole production is unique. The emotions are all there—it will make you question things, it will make you angry and confused, it will make you understand things, it will make you human. I hope you enjoy this album the same way as I did! Check out and follow the band Forever in Transit. Like and share the album “A Coming of Terms”!
