Experience the music of Carl Liungman as he RELEASES his latest Album “Change.”

Piano, minimalist, and music are among the top five words that I love in this life, and Carl Liungman, a Sweden-based Neoclassical pianist, songwriter, and composer, has beautifully wrapped his third album “Change” in those adjectives. This 37-minute-long album is a collection of instrumental pieces that is very personal for the artist. Brought about from his Steinway grand piano, Change is a beautiful showcase from Carl Liungman that bears emotions such as nostalgia, hope, longing, and loss.

Change is a stunning collection, and we can never contest that. Carl, as one of the top pianists in his field, bares his soul yet again through this collection. This track clearly showcases his skill as a musician, as he can perfectly make you feel emotions through his impeccable notes and melodies, even without the usual lyrics on its contents.

The track opens with the track “Mother,” a warm track that perfectly encapsulates the soothing embrace and comfort that every mother brings. This piece is like a musical representation of our mother; it is graceful yet unyielding, like the notes on this piece, powerful and intense, yet it is patient and kind to the ears.

The track “After” soon follows as the track that takes a dramatic turn as it briefly gives you that certain resignation as presented through the notes that it carries. “Final Days” then intensifies the melancholic sound from the initial track, making the track mysterious. Moreover, the piece, although it gives off that certain idea of resignation through its powerful yet sad piano notes, bears acceptance, making it feel like you are always allowed to move forward.

Hope,” on the other hand, carries a certain dreamy sound that gives a feeling of excitement that something good is going to happen. “Wind in June,” on the other hand, carries a nice cinematic sound that would remind you of the vast green fields and the silence and peace that it offers, especially in times of solitude. This proves how great Carl is at evoking such great imagery through just his musical notes.

With “Father,” this piece is somehow what I’d call calm and quiet. It is so subtle, and very minimalist sounding; it almost felt like a whisper. Just like sometimes how our fathers silently support us. The same type of vibe is present in the track “Peaceful.” It is a silent type of love, a type of warmth that you know is rare but is there. “Survivor” took a shift to intense and hopeful. The intense progression of notes goes so hard, yet you will feel a certain beauty to it. It is loud, powerful, and definitely uplifting.

The collection ends with the title track “Change.” It is a dynamic sound that is colorful and intriguing. This track is progressively evolving, and like change, it is constantly happening throughout the track, and it is the best way to end the whole collection of this beautiful sound.

Personally, I can definitely say that Change by Carl Liungman is one of the top albums that I’ve listened to this year. The combination of minimalist, cinematic, and classical vibes of each track in this collection is just perfect. Each track carries certain emotions that you wouldn’t really expect to get from tracks that have no lyrics. It is a unique combination of piano notes and chords, and it is the best for my tastes, I am sure enough that this is something that a lot of people would also enjoy.
