A Head Bopping Tune That Will Leave You Stuck for Hours: Candy by Dann Taye

Gone are the days when we had music that would get us moving. Today, it’s all about what is unique, hip, and trendy. I was given the opportunity to listen to “Candy” by Dann Taye.

Dann Taye is a rapper, producer, and songwriter from Essex, England. Join me as I talk about his debut single, “Candy,” and explain why this song is what we need in today’s catalog.

The track starts off with a head-bopping beat that takes me back to the days when I enjoyed the energy of the clubs with all the neon lights, endless dancing, getting wasted on tequila, and all that energy that comes along with being young and free.

The chorus hook is infectious, simple, and catchy. It goes hand in hand with the overall hook of the song itself. It’s meant to be simple. No more, no less. The rap flow and cadence are not that explosive, which makes sense because the whole point of the track is to get you moving, and an over-the-top rap flow would not create that magic.

Overall, the track, “Candy,” is not meant to blow you away with complicated and flashy production; its simplicity and danceable rhythm are what will make you repeat the song over and over again.
