Zachary Mason’s Witty Thoughtfulness on Human Reproduction

I Wish Humans Were Made In A Factory…, the new single from Zachary Mason, really gets thoughts and possibilities flowing. Through this song that’s fitting to perform in an intimate comedy bar for its humorous concept, it does mention some pretty real stuff as well.

Composed into a familiar, yet unique tune that would bring a sense of comfort to rock and indie fans alike, this song really encompasses how today’s generation feels about reproduction and family building, just from the title itself.

The wish of manufacturing human beings in a factory is mainly supported by the concern of “The facts of life are a very painful fact to see”, which is true in every sense; the list goes on and on, starting with labor, and literally moulding a child into their own person…

But the point is, it’s a funny concept to think about, but it also entices thinking deeply into it. The idea of overly objective human beings, with their origin being an infrastructure, contrasting to the traditional, capable-of-feeling human, originating from sweet intercourse.

One thing’s for sure, humans live to consume. In a way, Zachary Mason painted a picture for the audience, a picture that’s worth admiring and looking at – but in this context, the song is pretty great and ear-catching, and you should definitely check it out.
