It’s All About “Sally”: Kelsie Kimberlin’s New Single

What is it about this girl that makes her so special? In this fun, upbeat, and relatable single by Kelsie Kimberlin, explores the story of a woman named Sally, from her position bottom at the globe all the way to the top, and somewhere in the middle.

Right off the bat, the guitar parts set the mood throughout the song. It’s catchy, yet has a twinge of mystery to keep listeners intrigued in what this girl is all about. The lyrics are not that complicated, some of which might be collective experiences, but everything rhymes and fits so well that you’d be simply hooked.

After facing loss, evidently shown in the first parts of the song, the woman called Sally finally moves out of rock bottom and becomes in-tune with life again. “Sally keeps a tally, Sally’s eating taffy / Sally’s gonna rally, Sally’s finally happy” is such a clever set of lines, which also connote positivity all around.

Sound-wise, everything seems brilliantly well-balanced, every element, instrument, and vocals come together, creating a vintage, retro feel throughout the song and the music video that matches. Listening to it on replay would encourage listeners to envision their own version and aesthetic of Sally.
