Read This. Now. Restart by Stay For Tomorrow

First, I listened to this song on my computer speakers. Then, I listened to this song on my DT 990 Pro Headphones. And I’m really glad I did.

Obviously it sounded better. But this was orders of magnitude better. My initial impression was completely off base. I almost faulted the artists for some of the less strong bits I thought I was hearing. And what a heinous assessment that would of been.

This is a fantastic song. The music is incredible. The vocals are in tune, the drums are at the perfect frequencies, and the guitars absolutely rip. This is an amazing performance, hands down.

But beyond that. Way beyond that. This is simply one of the best mixes I’ve ever heard. It’s clear. It’s balanced. And what’s more, it’s detailed. Insanely detailed. There’s so much detail, I complete lost it in my s****y Macbook speakers. So much so, I almost discredited this ripper of a track.

I love the vocals. I love the enormity of the sound. I love everything about the guitar parts. This track really is incredible, and I almost lost the chance to experience it because I didn’t do my part.

So I guess my point with this review is twofold. First, if Restart is any indication, Stay For Tomorrow is the real deal. Go listen to their music. I’m about to go listen to their whole discography. Probably pretty loudly. Catch them live if you can.

Second, if you want to explore new music, give the scene some credit, and grab a nice pair of headphones. Or speakers. These guys put in too much work for you to mess it up for them.
